Marge Simpson Rumored to Choose Air2Air as Her Personal Airline

Homer, Bart, and the entire Simpson’s fan base thoroughly approve of Marge Simpon’s rumored selection of Air2Air as her Personal Airline for San Diego Air Charter.  Her recent appearance in Playboy magazine highlighted by her racy picture on the cover has resulted in many San Diego Air Charter groupies hanging out at Air2Air hoping to catch a glance of Marge Simpson or one of the other cast members coming or going.  With flights to all of California’s, Nevada’s, and Arizona’s many airports, the opportunities seem boundless.

Although apparently she varies her travel itineraries between Air2Air many San Diego area departure points, unreliable reports indicate that her favorite departure point is Carlsbad’s McClellan-Palomar Airport.  However, the San Diego Air Charter customer base chooses among San Diego’s several airports for their private air charter needs.

With Playboy having featured many celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Cindy Crawford and the Girls of Hooters on its cover, Air2Air is hoping that this breakthrough into that customer base will result in both increased celebrity travel and additional cool, chique, and “need to be seen” customers.

Air2Air'sdirector of public relations, Spaceman Spiff (formerly of Calvin and Hobbes) was unable to get Mrs. Simpson to let her big pile of blue hair down and grant an interview.

In contrast to Playboy, which has seen its circulation slip from 3.15 million to 2.6 million since 2006, and is hoping that by putting Marge on the cover they will attract younger readers to a magazine where the median age of readers is 35, Air2Air is hoping that Marge’s rumored appearances will add star power to their cost effective short range travel solution.  Everyone agrees that the San Diego Air Charter market is certainly ready for it.

Playboy spokeswoman Theresa Hennessey has been quoted as saying: "We knew that this would really appeal to the 20-something crowd.“  However, Air2Air is looking for both the more mature traveler represented by Marge herself and the 20-something crowd who follows her.
